Bamboo rates high as an eco-friendly option as far as raw materials go due to its renewable and self-sustaining properties, and it is highly versatile.  Sounds great doesn't it?  In theory, the answer is yes.  But I have some information that may make you think twice before you purchase imported bamboo timber products.
