Made from polypropylene #5 because it contains zero Bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical that leaches from some kinds of plastic, which has been linked to various diseases.

Polypropylene has no known leaching characteristics and is softer than other types of plastic. If you'd rather avoid plastic coming in contact with your drinks altogether, a stainless steel screw-on loop cap is also available as an accessory.
